Lantern Creation Workshop & Havdalah

Overview

Join Jewish teens from across Atlanta for an evening of light, community and celebration at the 2018 Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade!

At this pre-event workshop sponsored by JumpSpark and NFTY-SAR, teens will meet at elementATL › for lantern creation workshop and Havdalah ceremony led by NFTY-SAR director Adam Griff before lining up to join the lantern parade.

6:00-7:30 PM: Lantern workshop and dinner
7:30-8:00 PM: Havdalah

$20 fee required to reserve a lantern creation kit but not required to join the pre-event. Families are welcome and should contact Laura.Gronek@jumpsparkatl.org to register.

Note: JumpSpark & NFTY-SAR are not responsible for teens once they leave elementATL to join the parade. The parade route starts by elementATL near Krog Street Market at 8:15 PM and ends at Piedmont Park.

About the Parade

The Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade › debuted on the Atlanta art scene in 2010, and has been growing ever since, from 1,200 participants and tailgaters along the parade route in 2012 to more than 70,000 people in 2017 for an awe-inspiring spectacle of lights and sounds.
