JumpSpark Signature Programs
JumpSpark connects Atlanta’s Jewish teens and those who influence them through collaboration with community partners and creation of original, top-quality programming.
Strong Women Fellowship
The Strong Women: Know Them, Be Them Fellowship is an empowering educational cohort providing Jewish teens in Atlanta with unparalleled access to strong women leaders, thinkers and voices shaping the world we live in today. Each month teen participants meet speakers and engage in relevant learning that speaks to what it means to be a woman in our time. This Fellowship helps young people grapple with the obstacles they face and prepares them to be the leaders they can be today and in the future.
JumpSpark Teen Boys
Teen boys receive countless messages throughout their lives about what it means to “be a man” and what male characteristics they should and shouldn’t emulate. Through the JumpSpark Teen Boys Program, teen boys explore the question, “what does it mean to be a Jewish guy,” and “how do we think about what it means to be a mensch?” We engage boys in critical media critique, active games and conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. We encourage boys to examine various models of manhood and define for themselves what it means to be a man in today’s world. This group provides a place for boys to decompress from their stressful lives. In the group, boys learn tactics to help them deal with the stress they experience on a day to day basis and strategies for dealing with emotions in the context of a society that sends the message they should hold in their feelings.
