Relational Engagement

Join Rabbi Lydia Medwin to discuss how to connect with teenagers by understanding their lives first, so that we can create the right context for their Jewish experiences. She’ll share theory and practice through interactive exercises from her book, The Relational Judaism Handbook, being implemented at The Temple to engage their community for a lifetime of learning and loving Judaism.

For many years, our flagship institutions have thrived through offering great programming, education, and meaningful lifecycle events. But in today’s world of the internet, multiple pulls on attention, and thin relationships among community members, our institutions must evolve.

Join us as we learn to prioritize people over the programming, emphasizing relationships between leaders and lay people, to create a more inspiring and transformational experience for those seeking deeper connections and an antidote to anonymity inside Jewish life.

JumpSpark, as an Innovation Initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, is exploring Professional Co-working Days as an investment in relationship building within the professional community and teen ecosystem. With a full day of skill building, professional development programming and opportunities to connect, you’re invited to drop in for as little or as long as you’re able. We invite you to network, participate, or find a quiet corner and work as needed.

Offered in partnership with Federation Innovation.
