Amplifying Israel Teen Fellowship

Who is this program for?

Five Amplifying Israel Teen Fellows will be chosen from the Atlanta Jewish community to work with five identified teen leaders in Atlanta’s partnership region Yokneam/Megiddo.

Each of the Atlanta fellows will be chosen by a Root One YSO to be their Amplifying Israel Fellow.

  • Cohort One will run January 2021-May 2021
  • Cohort Two will run September 2021- May 2022 with teens how have just returned from summer Israel experiences

What will they do?

A pair of fellows (1 Israeli and 1 American) will be responsible for “amplifying Israel” for the Atlanta Jewish teen community each month.

During that month each fellow must:

  • Do an Instagram takeover on JumpSpark’s social media
  • Write an article to be shared with the community
    • The article from the Israeli teen will be featured on JumpSpark’s blog
    • The article by the Israeli teen will be featured in the new Yokneam community newsletter.
  • Plan one other joint project of their choosing with the support of Shinshinim Atlanta.

Additionally, Atlanta Amplifying Teen Fellows will be asked to:

  • Host 3 “pop-up” recruitment events for parents and teens about their Israel program. We ask that each Root One provider works with the teen to plan and facilitate these events.

Training and Incentivization

Each Fellow will receive a $500 stipend for completing fellowship requirements

Each Fellow must complete a training session covering:

  • Social Media Storytelling (TBD)
  • The Atlanta/Yokneam Partnership

Additional training will need to be offered by the Root One providers for the American teens to help with the recruiting events.
